Indonesia Pushes Fashion and Fintech Cooperation With Australia

In fashion, TAFE South Australia and the Islamic Fashion Institute (IFI) Bandung have established cooperation for student exchange and instructors and curriculum development.
"We encourage these partnerships to have economic added value, such as participation in the international fashion event in Adelaide, the cooperation of Indonesian designers with boutique in Adelaide that leads to joint-production or joint-marketing," Hermanus said.
Other creative economy cooperation sectors that want to be developed is a connection ecosystem of digital economy and fintech Indonesia and Australia. Fintech became one of the most predictable business in Indonesia. While in Australia, fintech is also growing and the government's attention, including in South Australia.
Many Indonesian startups are growing into unicorns. Citing World Economic Forum (WEF) data, Traveloka became one of 57 startups named as unicorns. Gojek and Tokopedia also became a phenomenon of startups that attracted many other countries, including Australia.
"Startups Indonesia's success stories need to be shared with the digital economy ecosystem in Australia. Problem ideas and creativity, Indonesia is not lost. But Indonesia can learn from Australia from aspects of regulation, incentives, infrastructure development and business plan, "added Hermanus.
Meanwhile, Director Narelle Slivak welcomes Indonesia's desire to deepen cooperation in the creative sector with South Australia. "We believe that the people-to-people relationship, the synergies between the creative ecosystems of both sides will further strengthen the existing brothers' cooperation between West Java and South Australia," said Slivak.
