INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Property developers who are members of the Association of Real Estate Entrepreneurs Indonesia (REI) commitment focus on contributing to the program a million homes and encourage the creation of a new independent city.
REI Chairman Soelaeman Soemawinata said that in relation to the contribution of the program of one million homes, it targets the number of its members' contribution to increase 20% from last year's realization. According to him, until the end of 2017 REI has at least built 206,000 units of homes for low-income people (MBR).
In addition to REI's one million house program will also focus this year to finalize the study of the city self-reliant. "We have two additional self-help cities," he said last week.
REI, he said, is conducting studies and data collection of new locations to be submitted to the government as a new city or an independent city.
It gained the trust of the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) to conduct the study because REI members are experienced to build an integrated city.
"We provide input on how the new city or independent city can accommodate the people of MBR [low income community]," he explained.
He stated there are a number of cities that will definitely be developed as an independent city. For example in Maja, Lebak, Banten, with the developer one of them is Ciputra Group with the name of Citra Maja Raya project.
