Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Asks PTS to Avoid Conflict

INDUSTRY.co.id - Denpasar - Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Mohamad Nasir asked private universities (PTS) to avoid conflict that usually occurs between the management body and the college leadership.

"My hope of good relationship between the management body and the high leadership can be in line in line to advance higher education," said Nasir when giving speech at the Working Meeting of Region Coordinator of Private Higher Education Region VIII in Denpasar, Friday (2/2/2018)

Therefore, Nasir asks universities to promote good governance so that there is no conflict between the management body and the head of the university.

If there is a conflict between the management body and the head of the university, Nasir threatens to close the college data base.

"Do not let the people who are sacrificed because of conflicts of interest. There must be a college commitment to advance higher education," he said.

In addition, Nasir also advised that universities prioritize quality culture to produce innovations that benefit the community.

The measure of college quality improvement is accreditation. Therefore, Nasir encourages universities to improve the quality of learning and the quality of lecturers in order to get a good accreditation.

"I ask Kopertis to guide and foster the existing universities in the region, and there should be no problematic universities because they will affect the quality and the disadvantaged are the people," he said.
