INDUSTRY.co.id - Dubai - Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati was awarded the World's Best Minister in the World Award at the World Government Summit held in Dubai, UAE.
The award was handed over by Dubai's leader Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Sunday (11/2/2018) in Dubai local time.
The Best Ministerial Award is a global award given to one minister from every country in the world each year and commenced in 2016.
The selection and determination process of the winners is conducted by independent agency Ernst & Young and organized by the World Government Summit.
Head of Communication and Information Services Bureau of the Ministry of Finance Nufransa Wira Sakti through his press release mentioned that the Minister of Finance expressed his appreciation to be the first recipient from Asia to receive the award.
He said that the award is an acknowledgment of the collective work of the government under the leadership of President Joko Widodo, especially in the economic field.
The minister also affirmed that he dedicated the award to 257 million Indonesians and 78,164 Ministry of Finance who have worked hard to manage state finances with integrity and high commitment to create equitable and equitable people's welfare.
For information, the World Government Summit is an annual meeting held in Dubai, UAE, and involves all government leaders from around the world in a global dialogue forum on governance processes and public policy and its links to technology, innovation and other topics.
This forum serves as an exchange of experience and knowledge between government officials, policy makers, experts, and private sector leaders to see future trends and their implications for humanity. The World Government Summit was attended by more than 4000 participants and 90 speakers from 150 countries and international agencies.
