30 Kilometers of Jakarta-Surabaya Toll Road Status : Functional

INDUSTRY.co.id - Yogyakarta - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said the Jakarta-Surabaya toll road is ready to be traversed in Eid 2018, but there are still functional segments along 30-40 kilometers around Batang, Central Java.

"Development for completion continues to be done and is connected, so Eid this year can be used even if there is still a functional status," said Minister of Transportation to the media crew in Yogyakarta, Sunday (11/3/2018)

According to him, the toll road segment that is functional status is actually already passable and not pay because it is not 100 percent complete condition.

"So later that pass the functional path is not charged," he said.

The government, he said, continues to complete the construction of the toll road so it is hoped that soon to be passed by motor vehicles as soon as possible.

The government through the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing targets Trans Java Toll Road from Jakarta to Surabaya can be used for traffic back and forth in Eid this year with some segments already operational and some are still functional.

"By the end of 2018, toll roads from Jakarta to Surabaya are already operational, but for homecoming, some toll roads are still functional, but not emergency. For land acquisition, almost entirely above 90 percent, the challenge is only the acceleration of work while maintaining discipline of standard operating procedures ( SOP) and quality of work, "said Minister of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono in a written statement.

Minister Basuki said the functional Toll Road conditions will be better than last year which is still in an emergency condition.

According to Basuki there are two critical points of Trans Java toll road connecting to Surabaya for the homecoming 2018, which is located at 160 meters of Kali Kuto Bridge located in Tol Batang-Semarang and Kenteng Bridge along 496 meters in Semarang-Solo Toll Road.

For Batang-Semarang toll road, the critical point is in Kali Kuto Bridge. End of March 2018, construction work at the bottom of the bridge will be completed. Then just installed girder and steel plate for the bridge is expected to be in May 2018 can be installed and before the Holiday is passable.
