Luhut Mention That Airlangga Most Understand the Needs of Industry Salt

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Coordinating Minister for Marine Affairs, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, said that the transfer of salt import authority from the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Susi Pudjiastuti to Minister of Industry (Kemenperin) Airlangga Hartarto is very reasonable.
According Luhut, Menperin Airlangga most understand the needs of salt for industry players. Especially now the industry players claimed to have very need salt for business continuity.
"This salt industry we control imports until later in 2021. After that, we should not be imported anymore, because now is the development of the salt industry," said Luhut in Jakarta, Monday (19/3/2018).
He also asserted, the government will provide sanctions for industries that play with the data needs salt.
According to him, the Ministry of Industry will also coordinate with the parties concerned to conduct supervision.
"He (Kemenperin) you know, you this factory, this factory, how much do you need?. it is he who made the data. If you lie, next year you get a penalty, just simple," he said.
As for the development of the salt industry, Luhut said that currently has been running in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT)
"It's going now. In NTT has started now, almost 26-28 thousand hectares are gradually on the way," he said.
