INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - SOE Minister Rini M Soemarno targets that in 2018, there will be no companies suffering losses, from the number of state-owned enterprises that have deficit during 2017 as many as 12 companies.
"In 2016, the number of state-owned enterprises that lost 24 companies, in 2017 fell to 12 companies. In 2018 the target is no longer a loss," said Rini, while following the Fun Bike BUMN 2018, at the Office of the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Sunday (25/3 / 2018).
According to her, various steps will be taken to improve the financial performance, especially those still in a state of deficit.
"Many ways, but the main thing is synergy, for example, BUMN in the same sector, procurement logistics can be coordinated so that more efficient," she said.
In addition, SOE synergy is also directed to mutual use of services or production produced by several companies.
She highlighted several state-owned enterprises that are still in financial pressure, PT Garuda Indonesia, which needs to improve in order to better operating performance.
Especially for Garuda, the loss is due more to the company being trapped in tariff wars and inefficient international flight routes.
While Krakatau Steel losses swell due to, among others, the existence of steel dumping from China.
For that, she said, losing SOEs must make efficiency, including establishing synergies between companies. SOEs that have the same business or business are also directed to be merged.
On that occasion, Rini explains consolidated 128 SOEs, in 2017 recorded a comprehensive profit of Rp183 trillion, up about 10 percent compared to 2016.
"I am grateful to all SOE people who have worked hard so far, I hope that in 2018 all state-owned enterprises can benefit and big family of BUMN can be happy and prosper together," said Rini.
