INDUSTRY.co.id - Palembang- Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir said in the future the learning process is no longer based on the ratio of lecturers but more flexible even not impossible one professor to teach 1,000 students.
"In the future the learning process is no longer based on the current ratio of lecturers and students that is for science and technology (saintek) 1:25 and social 1:40 In the future, we want one professor to teach 1,000 students through learning in network (online ), "said Menristekdikti in the opening of work meeting of Kopertis Region II (South Sumatera, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung and Lampung) in Palembang, South Sumatera, Friday (6/4/2018)
He added that his side will work on the online learning through the Indonesian Online Learning System (SPADA) and for its internet network through "Indonesian Research and Education Network (" IDREN ") services and services.
"Hopefully with the online learning, our colleges are getting better quality." Online learning, he added, is inevitable in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. Menristekdikti gives examples of teacher room applications, which currently have seven million users.
"So in the future, colleges whose numbers currently number 4,579 universities, are no longer using the current ratio." In addition, Nasir said, the lecturer requirement for each study program is no longer a six lecturers' study program. Later that number can be changed for example six lecturers for the faculty level and so forth.
"Then the lecturer," homebase "is no longer in the course of study, it will be elevated to a higher level of faculty level, if now it's a lot of work, hopefully this April can be done." Previously, Rector of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Dr Arif Satria, asked Kemristekdikti to be flexible to the regulation of opening of study program to face the era of disruption.
"Menristekdikti has flexed the regulation for the opening of new courses, but in fact to open new courses must be in accordance with the nomenclature and there are requirements of six lecturers for one study program, it is quite heavy for college," Arif. (Ant)
