These are the Duties of the New Directors of PT Waskita Karya

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- SOE Minister Rini Soemarno expressed a number of expectations on the new board of directors in PT Waskita Karya (Persero) which was recently overhauled at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM).

After completing the clean-up operation in Ciliwung River, Jakarta (8/4/2018) Minister Rini hopes Waskita Karya President Director, I Gusti Ngurah Putra, who was previously CEO of PT Hutama Karya (HK), can bring fresh air to strengthen and improve the performance of Waskita Karya.

"So that the Waskita construction in the future will be fully safeguarded, the construction can be completed on time, as a whole, I think it will be handled properly, Pak Putra is the new President Director of Waskita," she said.

Rini explained that Waskita Karya is a state-owned enterprise that handles the most infrastructure projects, ranging from toll roads, flyovers, and dams.

Therefore, the new board of directors of Waskita Karya is expected to minimize work accidents, especially on high-risk projects, considering eight of 16 construction accidents in the last few months, occurred on projects handled by Waskita.

Rini also reflect on the experience of Hutama Karya, led by I Gusti Ngurah Putra, can work on Trans Sumatra Toll Road project well.

"During the Hutama Karya, the concentration is mainly to build Toll Road in Sumatra, and it works very well, so we expect Mr. Son to bring fresh air to strengthen and improve Waskita," said Rini.

On the same occasion, Director of Waskita Karya, I Gusti Ngurah Putra, said on Monday (9/4) will coordinate with all employees, especially to restore the morality that was previously "down" due to a series of cases of work accidents.

In addition, all directors in the new organizational structure will meet to discuss the main tasks and functions and performance.

"Monday morning I will get everything, the organization will be divided, what each of its directors, let all of us measure its performance, KPI we also keep," said Putra.

There was also at the AGM of Faskets of Book Year 2017 on Friday (6/4), the composition of the management of the Company underwent a change, namely the President Director held by I Gusti Ngurah Putra, replacing M. Choliq who has served since 2008.
