Government Targets Cisumdawu Toll Completed By The End of 2019

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- The government is targeting the construction of Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road Section I and II along 28.5 km completed by the end of 2019, said Minister of Public Works and People's Housing Basuki Hadimuljono.
The 61.6 km Cisumdawu Toll Road is divided into six sections, Basuki said when reviewing the twin tunnels in the 2nd section of the toll section, in Bandung on Thursday.
Sections I and II ranging from Cileunyi to Sumedang are funded by APBN and loans from the Chinese Government as part of the "viability gap fund" (VGF) to raise the feasibility of the toll investment.
While Section III-VI along the 32.6 km is done by toll road business entity (BUJT) PT Citra Karya Jabar Tol.
Section 2 Construction along 17.05 km is divided into two phases. Phase I of Ranca Kalong-Ciherang with a length of 6.35 km is completed in 2017.
While phase II Ciherang-Sumedang with a length of 10.7 km current progress is already 37.03 percent or faster than the plan of 32.38 percent.
For Section I along the 11.4 km is still in the stage of land acquisition. Overall, the land acquisition portion of the Government is 83 percent, for the Toll Road Enterprise portion of 93 percent.
Twin tunnels Associated with the twin tunnel, Basuki explained, each tunnel has a length of 472 meters with a diameter of 14 meters.
Currently, the tunnel work for the right side has penetrated 280 meters, while for the left side has reached 376 meters.
"Hopefully August (left side) can be translucent, while the right may be the end of 2018 can be translucent," said Basuki.
Construction of the twin tunnels cost Rp890 billion.
The Cisumdawu expressway will increase the mobility of goods and services from the north-west of West Java as it connects Purbaleunyi Toll with the Cikopo - Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road which has been operating.
Cisumdawu is also an access to Kertajati International Airport in Majalengka.
Meanwhile, Basuki said, from the four sections that BUJT works with an investment of Rp8, 7 trillion.
Currently section 3 has already started the construction phase while the other section is in the land acquisition stage. Targeted for 4 km in section 3 will be completed in March 2019.
Total number of workers in Toll Cisumdawu as many as 1202 people and of that number 70 workers level tunnel experts from China.
