INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - As a form of support to improve the quality of human resources in the startup business of Indonesia, Prasetiya Mulya University today, Thursday (3/5/2018) launched the Master Program of Management of New Ventures Innovation (NVI) to encourage the development of entrepreneurship, especially startup in Indonesia.
One of the main factors that can hamper startup progress is the HR factor that has not been equipped with knowledge, skills and experience in managing the complexity of rapid business growth.
Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Triawan Munaf explained that, developing startup business is not enough just to capitalize on strong financial support.
"Formal education for startup founders is needed. They are not only equipped with marketing and financial knowledge, but also the training needed by an entrepreneur that is toughness, risk taking and integrity, "said Triawan.
In releasing this new MM program, Prasetiya Mulya University uses a comprehensive approach or 'well-rounded approach', which is a combination of three things: academic and practical or action-based learning, and supported by entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The academic approach is designed as a foundation for forming a structured mindset, which will be needed in making strategic decisions for the development and management of a business.
The practical approach is the core of New Ventures Innovation (NVI), which is primarily in the form of startup business startup projects, New Venture Project or NVP.
In addition to courses designed to address HR needs at startup business, Dean of School of Business and Economics of Prasetiya Mulya University, Agus W. Soehadi explained that the program is also supported by the InnovationHub facility, as a forum for interaction within the entrepreneur ecosystem.
"The InnovationHub facility is aimed at providing interaction within the entrepreneur ecosystem, including founders of digital start-ups, venture capitalists, digital startup companies (IT companies, Business Coaches, Financial Institutions), government, corporate and community professionals," said Agus.
Meanwhile, Graduate Program Director of Prasetiya Mulya University Indria Handoko explained, MM New Ventures Innovation program was launched as a program that can help the actors in the startup industry in sharpening and developing business management skills, to grow fast in complex business ecosystem.
"Through this program, it is expected that the graduates will have the ability to make startup business and expand their business exponentially," explained Indria.
