East Kalimantan Exports Reach Rp62.16 Trillion During January-March

INDUSTRY.co.id - Samarinda- The export value of East Kalimantan Province during the period of January-March 2018 to a number of destination countries reached 4.57 billion US dollars, equivalent to more than Rp62, 16 trillion with a record average US dollar exchange rate worth Rp13.500.

"The number has increased 6.17 percent compared to the same period in the previous year which recorded 4.3 billion US dollars," said East Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Atqo Mardiyanto in Samarinda, Friday (4/5/2018)

He explained that the export commodity consists of mineral fuel, both oil and gas and non-oil and gas, with a value of 4.27 billion US dollars, up 7.22 percent compared to January-March 2017 period worth 3.98 billion US dollars.

Meanwhile, non-oil and gas commodities other than mineral fuels, among others, in the form of animal and vegetable fats and oils were valued at 144.46 million US dollars, up 27.58 percent compared to the same period of 2017 of 113.23 million US dollars.

Next exports of inorganic chemicals, inorganic or inorganic compounds worth 69.56 million US dollars, a decline of 11.44 percent compared to January-March 2017 amounted to 78.54 million US dollars.

"Later timber and wooden exports accounted for $ 31.5 million, 16.1 million US dollars of inorganic chemicals, 22.06 million dollars of inorganic chemicals, and various chemical, residual and industrial products worth 8.27 million US dollars , "he explained.

He continued that the export value in January-March 2018 for oil and gas commodities with the destination country of Japan worth 447.17 million US dollars, an increase of 26.75 percent over the same period the previous year which recorded 352.8 million US dollars.

Then exports to Taiwan worth 90.58 million US dollars, down 65.71 percent rather than the same period of 2017 amounted to 264.16 million US dollars. Further exports to South Korea worth 78.5 million US dollars, down 54.57 percent than the previous about 172.79 million US dollars.

In addition, oil and gas commodities are also exported to China of 80.07 million US dollars, which recorded no progress since there was no oil and gas exports to the country.

Then exports to Australia worth 29.26 million US dollars or minus 53.78 percent compared to the previous amount of 63.31 million US dollars.

"For non-oil and gas exports in January-March 2018, among others to China worth 1.07 billion US dollars, India 823.11 million US dollars, South Korea 422.33 million US dollars, Japan 326.2 million US dollars, Malaysia 248, 48 million US dollars, the Philippines 222.48 million US dollars, Taiwan 182.19 million US dollars, and Thailand 136.9 million dollars, "Atqo said.
