Medco E & P Supply of Household Gas in Sekayu Sumsel

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Medco E & P Indonesia (Medco E & P) supplies domestic gas demand in Sekayu, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, through a municipal gas network program.
The commitment is poured through the Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (PJBG) with PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) in Jakarta on Friday at the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) Convention and Exhibition 2018.
This PJBG is a Medco E & P effort in support of the Municipal Gas Network Program. The gas source is supplied from Medco E & P fields in South Sumatra working area.
This PJBG shall be effective as of the date of commencement of gas streaming until July 20, 2027 or the expiration of natural gas production from this working area by the daily amount of gas delivered by 0.25 MMSCFD.
The signing was carried out by the President Director of Medco E & P Indonesia Ronald Gunawan and PGN Jobi Triananda Hasjim President Director, witnessed by Head of Special Unit for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Amien Sunaryadi.
"This signing is a testament to Medco E & P's commitment to help fulfill domestic gas needs, therefore the Company hopes to continue to gain support from all parties while undertaking oil and gas exploration and production activities in South Sumatra and other operating areas," said Ronald Gunawan.
Utilization of gas network in Musi Banyuasin Regency, precisely in Kota Sekayu until 30 April has reached 1,155 houses. Medco E & P has also distributed gas to household jargas in the city of Palembang about 6,000 houses.
In addition to household needs, gas from Medco E & P is also used for public transportation needs in the city of Palembang.
While in Kota Tarakan, North Kalimantan has been delivering gas to approximately 3,360 households.
