INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla in Jakarta, Thursday (7/6/2018) said the automation trend in the 4.0 industry must keep the basic needs of Indonesian people, especially in agriculture.
"Our industry is always there is a change, but on the other hand we also still have progress in agriculture, which always remain the basic needs of this nation," said Jusuf Kalla in Seminar Strengthening Indonesian Leaders.
Technological developments are increasingly leading to changes in thinking patterns in the industry, so it also requires adjustment mindset communities, industry players and the Government.
"Since three or four years ago, we have been thinking about the mental revolution, two months ago, the President (Joko Widodo) launched the industry pattern 4.0.All needs change, the point is the change to progress, many of the ideas we have learned," added Vice President Kalla.
Fourth-generation industrial technology requires information technology to provide industrial services that produce smart plants, so there is a possibility that industrial work patterns will use more robot power, Kalla said.
However, the Vice President warned not to forget the role of human in industry 4.0.
"If all industries become automated, work with robots, then who is the consumer Who gets the income Who buys? Surely we must know that Indonesia has a diverse economy So between progress, basic economic industries remain part of this economy, "he said.
Therefore, the Vice President hopes that industry players and ministers can capture the technological and industrial changes, so that they will not be left behind by the times.
"Ministers need to know how changes will occur in the future, as well as other friends at the government level, which requires national leadership, implementation and good knowledge," he said.
