43 Investors Ready to Build Factory in Kendal Industrial Estate

"Currently there are 43 investors who enter to ready to build factories," said Director KIK Basuri Tjahaya Purnama told reporters in a joint opening at the Hotel Crown-Paragon Semarang city, Saturday (9/6).

Tens of investors who entered the company is engaged in the business of furniture, food, food packaging, steel, label printing and dolls.

To note, currently, there are 5 industrial companies that have been operating the first PT Tat Wai Industries of Singapore on a land of 10,000 square meters with the type of business in the field of furniture, and PT. APP Timber, PT. Ganda Sugih Arthaboga, PT Roda Maju Bahagia, PT. Multifilling Indonesia.

"In addition to factories, commercial areas in KIK have also been purchased and used for restaurant businesses, aircraft ticket sales agents, Mini Market and others," said Basuri.

In terms of employment, in KIK, there are currently at least 500 workers, among them work as KIK employees, factory managers, technicians, security, garden maintainers and others.

"This shows that there is an economic turnaround and multi player economic effect for people in Kendal industrial area," said Basuri.

As for the problems faced by KIK so far, according to Basuri, it is only a matter of clean water supply which needs addition to meet the operational needs of the factory.

To that end, it continues to strive to increase the supply of clean water with the support of the Provincial Government and Kendal Regency that process the river Blorong by making a dam.

"To build installations and rubber dams to accommodate river water, we are waiting for the realization in accordance with the water capacity required by investors in KIK," he said.

While related to licensing, Kendal District Government continues to support by going to build one stop service where permission to enter one door will be made private model.

Basuri hopes, KIK can soon become a central industrial area of ​​Central Java, because in addition to its strategic location, KIK is supported by good infrastructure such as the presence of Kendal port.

In addition, KIK is located not far from Airport A Yani Semarang while Semarang-Batang Toll Road construction will soon be connected with KIK.

According to Basuri, with a good range of infrastructure and connectivity support, domestic and foreign investors will not find it difficult to locate and operate in KIK.
