INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The integration of toll roads managed by a number of Toll Road Enterprises (BUJT) is a step towards a Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF) system or a non-stop toll payment targeted in all toll roads by 2019.
The purpose of this MLFF system implementation is in the end will provide better service to the community as a toll user.
This was conveyed by the Head of Transportation Management Agency of Jabodetabek (BPTJ) Bambang Prihartono in West Merdeka Forum (FMB) with the theme of "Toll Integration Supported National Logistics System" in the Multipurpose Room of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Jakarta, Monday (2/7/2018).
"Integration at the core is to improve services through simplification of transaction systems at a single rate," he said.
According to Bambang, currently the transaction is made 2-3 times because the JORR toll road (Jakarta Outer Ring Road) is done in stages and the operator / BUJT is also different.
"However, the condition per day of this JORR toll is fully connected. With integration, toll transaction system becomes an open system where users only pay one time toll, making it easier for the community as a toll user, "he explained.
Meanwhile, Head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Herry Trisaputra Zuna added that based on the mapping, with integrated payment system, 61% of JORR toll users will benefit from paying cheaper rates than before.
Mentioned, as many as 61% of those toll users are those who travel long distances or who usually do more than one transaction at several toll booths.
"There are 38% of road users who will pay more. However, we again see the essence of toll road development is to facilitate the need for long-distance movement and logistics, "he explained.
