Go-Jek Contribution to Surabaya Reaches Rp 241 Billion

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - On-demand service provider, GO-JEK, continues to contribute positively to the local economy. Based on research by Demographic Institute of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia (LD FEB UI) at the end of 2017, GO-JEK contributed Rp 192 billion per year to Surabaya economy through driver partner's income and Rp 49 billion per year through UMKM partner's income. So the total reached Rp241 billion.
Malikulkusno Utomo, SVP Public Policy and Government Relations of GO-JEK Indonesia, said that this achievement will not be realized without the presence of various parties who have supported GO-JEK to grow and have a positive impact on the people of Indonesia.
"This achievement is primarily inseparable from the partners who have grown up with GO-JEK in bringing the mission to continue to share the benefits and benefits for the people of Indonesia," he said in a press release.
To appreciate partners who have a positive impact on communities and communities in Surabaya, GO-JEK rewards the 3 most inspiring partners. The spirit of sharing demonstrated by these three partners, in line with the GO-JEK values to present, has a positive impact on society. These partners relentlessly and thankfully teach the chain of goodness that is transmitted with the spirit of kinship to help others.
The three partners are Soesi Ernawati - Head of GO-JEK Cantik Community, Endri Margiyono - Community Leader and Team Member of Rapid Reaction Unit, and Moch. Badar Effendy - Chairman of Community Drivers Group English Course. Not only the driver partners, Kober Mie Devil Glass Piring also awarded as partner of SMEs with the highest sales volume.
Malikulkusno hopes that this award can inspire more people to continue sharing and social impacts so that in the end the chain of good can continue to be transmitted and felt by all Indonesian people.
The award was given to Halalbihalal which was attended by East Java Provincial Government, Surabaya City Government, media partners, and GO-JEK partners.
