INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - To provide a closer and complete understanding to all levels of society, the Fintech Indonesia Association (AFTECH) and UangTeman are the main sponsors of the Indonesia Fintech Fair 2018 held in Jakarta from 13-15 July 2018.
Ajisatria Suleiman, Fintech Indonesia Public Policy Director said that Fintech is one of the alternative financial solutions open to all levels of society, but not many are fully aware of the fintech.
"This exhibition is expected to be a medium for the community and fintech industry players to get acquainted with, understand and of course ultimately use the services of fintech. This event is also to support the agenda of President Jokowi government which targets 75% financial inclusion occurred in 2019," he said in Jakarta , Friday (13/7/2018).
Lasted for three days at Center Atrium Mall Taman Anggrek, Jakarta, Indonesia Fintech Fair 2018 will be followed by 26 actors Fintech, 1 technology partner and 1 property company. Indonesia Fintech Fair 2018 under the theme "Fintech Transforming Life", is expected to introduce new services that can transform people's lives.
In this event was held exhibition and talkshow / panel discussion which was attended by actors from fintech world and also government. The theme of the discussion that was presented also varied, ranging from discussing about e-payment, digital financing, collateral loans, money management, and lifesyle payment.
With fintech, access to finance for the community can have many alternatives and have a wider range.
Secretary General of AFTECH who is also a Co-founder / Chairman of Bareksa (financial marketplace), Karaniya Dharmasaputra said, fintech products primarily targeting the retail segment, a layer of society that has not served conventional financial institutions and micro transactions.
"Because it offers accessible and economically affordable access, fintech is believed to be the solution to the low financial penetration in Indonesia so far," he said.
Meanwhile, the synergy with the government program that is also underlined in this event is a matter of consumer protection in the financial industry. The public is expected to know better about security related to the financial industry so that it can feel more comfortable in using
fintech services.
Adrian Gunadi, Vice Chairman of the Fintech Indonesia Association said that consumer protection is the main thing, especially in the financial industry. Before people use fintech, he wants people to know and understand correctly that fintech is concerned with consumer safety.
"We hope that by knowing that consumers are safe, public trust will grow and create the desire of the people to use the services of fintech as a solution of financial needs," added Adrian.
