Port of Kuala Tanjung Sumatera, Immediately Operated

For the dock, Port of Kuala Tanjung has container vessel (berth container vessel) with a length of 500 meters and width of 60 meters.

To facilitate loading and unloading of large vessels, at the Port of Kuala Tanjung will be operated cranes that have reach (out reach) up to 48 meters.

Then, to support the smoothness of energy in loading and unloading operations, at the Port of Kuala Tanjung prepared powerhouse jetty (power house jetty).

Meanwhile, to facilitate the distribution of containers from ships to hoarding or vice versa, prepared four truck lines (trestle lane truck).

With a variety of existing infrastructure, Kuala Tanjung Port can serve loading and unloading of containers up to 600 thousand Teus per year.

Meanwhile, the Commercial Manager Project of Port of Tanjung Tanjung Kurnia P Nasution explained that after completing the construction of Kuala Tanjung Port, it will be continued with the development to prepare a number of facilities and infrastructure. He pointed out the development of industrial estate around the Port of Kuala Tanjung whose concept will not turn off other existing ports surrounding.
