Kendal KIK Prospect is the Answer for the Shoe Industry
INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, the Indonesian Ministry of Industry continues to actively attract more investors to the Kendal Industrial Area (KIK), Central Java.
Currently, we already have more than 43 tenants in KIK. Next, we are focusing on developing Furniture Polytechnics in the region, "said Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto in Jakarta (08/16/2018).
Kendal Industrial Estate Development is the result of cooperation between Indonesian investors and Singapore.
The first integrated industrial area in Central Java is projected to absorb investment potential of Rp 200 trillion. In the first phase, 1,000 hectares of land will be cultivated with a target of 300 tenants and absorbing as many as 500,000 people by 2025.
To become an integrated industrial area, the development of KIK is planned for three stages with a total area of 2,700 hectares. This area will be supported by the development of industrial zones, ports, fashion cities and settlements.
Currently, investors who have entered KIK are from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Japan. Among them are producers of furniture, food, food packaging, steel, label printing and dolls.
We are also encouraging the operation of Tanjung Mas Port to facilitate the flow of goods from KIK to the surrounding cities. In addition, we are trying to develop the Kendal Port, "said the Minister of Industry.
