Czech Explores Railway Sector and Hospitals in Investment Cooperation With DIY

INDUSTRY.co.id - Yogyakarta, A number of Czech businessmen visited Yogyakarta Special Region to explore investment opportunities. In addition to the Governor of DIY, the Czech Delegation also held a meeting with the Chairperson of the DIY Chamber of Commerce.

Gusti Kangjeng Ratu (GKR) Mangkubumi, General Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that some of the main priorities discussed at the meeting were about airports, trains, ports and hospitals.

GKR Mangkubumi added, the Czech Republic is indeed well known for the railroad industry. Next year, Czech businessmen will come back to Yogyakarta to explore and realize the potential investment.

Still on the same day, the Czech delegation also met with the DIY Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X in Gedhong Wilis. The governor said the DIY Regional Government would encourage opportunities for cooperation between Indonesia and the Czech Republic. Through PT. KAI, the opportunity for cooperation in the railway sector is very open.

"There is a possibility to join with PT. KAI, whether later for the construction of the railroad from the airport to Tugu, or from Yogyakarta to Borobudur. The rail can later be built next to the toll road. In addition there are other products that might be discussed," Sri said. Sultan.

In Pracimosono, Sri Paduka hoped that the Czech Republic and DIY business relations could be realized more concretely. Therefore, it is hoped that the business forum will be continued with in-depth discussions to get business agreements.

Milan Stech, the Senate President of the Parliament of the Czech Republic on this occasion also hoped that the existing cooperation could provide progress for both parties.

While Michal Stefl, Vice President of the Czech Republic Chamber of Commerce, revealed that after discussing with the Governor of DIY, the Czech Republic wanted to work together in the medical, industrial, and discussion of the construction of railroad infrastructure for the New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYAI) in Kulon Progo.
