INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Indonesian embassy in Madrid said no Indonesian citizens were the victims of terror in Barcelona, Spain, on Thursday (17/8), which resulted in 13 deaths and dozens of injuries.
Based on information from the embassy in Madrid, until now there is no information about citizens who become victims in the attack, as stated in the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia received in Jakarta, Friday (18/08/2017)
However, the government of Indonesia reminded again to Indonesian citizens, especially those in Barcelona, Spain to raise awareness and learn the progress of the situation and security situation in the places to be addressed.
In addition, citizens living in Barcelona and other areas of Spain are also urged to avoid places that can be targets of terror acts.
According to the Indonesian Embassy in Madrid, the number of citizens in Barcelona is about 120 people, and overall in Spain there are about 1,620 citizens.

Earlier, thirteen people were killed and at least 50 others wounded in a terrorist attack in the city of Barcelona on Thursday around 17.00 local time.
A man, depicted in a slim and mid-twenties, drove a high-speed white van several hundred yards to Las Ramblas, trying to crash into as many people as possible.
Las Ramblas is a well known area in Barcelona that many tourists visit. The area is filled with shops, taverns and restaurants.
Spanish police described the incident as a terror attack. The Spanish police have also arrested a man associated with the attack.
The Indonesian government condemned the terrorist acts that took place in Barcelona.
"The government and the people of Indonesia expressed their deep sorrow and solidarity to the victims and their families as a result of these acts of terror," said a press statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
