INDUSTRY.co.id - Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, on Thursday (02/09), inspected the implementation of face-to-face learning at Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School, Jakarta.

This inspection aims to look closely at how health protocols are being implemented by the school during face-to-face teaching and learning process. For the record, following a government regulation stating that regions enforcing level 1 to 3 community activity restrictions (PPKM) can start implementing face-to-face learning, schools in those regions have also started implementing limited face-to-face learning. However, this activity must still be carried out with strict health protocols.

This Islamic boarding school, located in the Pesanggrahan area, has also issued a new normal guidebook for students who will return to the boarding school. Currently, from a total of 2,433 existing students, as many as 2,086 students have returned to the boarding school while 347 students are still using a distance learning system.

The school implements fairly strict health protocols supported by the provision of facilities such as hand-washing stations, self-isolation rooms. This school also prohibits families of the students to visit during the implementation of PPKM. In addition, a new routine of sunbathing before the learning process is introduced as an effort to boost their immune system.

“I appreciate the Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School administrators who have consistently implemented health protocols during the face-to-face learning process, even long before the enforcement of Level 3 PPKM, by preparing the necessary facilities and infrastructure to ensure that the face-to-face learning process can be well-implemented,” said the Vice President.

In addition, the boarding school has also carried out dose 1 and dose 2 vaccinations for 365 teachers, administrators, and employees.  As many as 949 students out of 2,433 students have also received the jabs.

This boarding school has also organized a vaccination drive for students outside the boarding school environment. Therefore, in order to encourage the acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination, on this occasion, the Islamic boarding school again held a vaccination drive for 360 students.

This effort is supported by four health workers from the Ulujami Health Center. The Vice President expressed appreciation to all ranks of the boarding school including the students for the efforts to suppressing the spread of coronavirus.
