INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Ministry of Industry through the Directorate General of Agro Industry in searching for new markets for food and beverage industry products in Europe this year will participate in the ANUGA exhibition on 7-12 October 2017 in Koelnmesse, Cologne, Germany.
The ANUGA exhibition is one of the world's largest international food and beverage fairs held every two years.
Directorate General of Agro Industry Kemenperin first participated in ANUGA exhibition that is in 2015. In 2015, Indonesia Pavilion can book potential transaction of US $ 2,444,700 and on the spot transaction amounted to US $ 11,642,000.
"Seeing the high international buyers and the potential achievement of transactions and transactions on the spot in 2015, we decided to participate again at ANUGA event this year," said Secretary General of Agro Industry Directorate of the Ministry of Industry, Enny Ratnaningtyas at the ANUGA exhibition press conference at the Ministry of Industry , Jakarta, Tuesday (22/08/2017).
She added that this year Pavilion Indonesia will occupy hall 1 of 152 square meters filled by 17 food companies and some products of small and medium industries which are built by West Sumatera Provincial Government.
"The products that will be displayed in this event are snacks, candies, processed fish, organic and non-organic food and IKM products," she explained.
In this case, West Sumatera Province is represented by the Department of Culture, the Tourism Office, the Industry and Trade Office, and the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA).
"They will promote high quality IKM products such as snacks typical of West Sumatra," added Enny.
Furthermore, Enny said, seeing the big potential of transactions and transactions on the spot in 2015, it is expected that potential buyer target at ANUGA exhibition this year can reach more than USD 3 million and transactions on the spot reaches more than USD 12 million.
By following the ANUGA exhibition, Enny hopes that the future of Indonesian food products can be better known in the international world and is expected to fill the international market especially in Europe.
"In addition, through this event is expected to seek and open non-traditional market opportunities to countries in the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East," she concluded.
