INDUSTRY.co.id - Sabang - Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam - PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) launched the "Quota Donation Movement" (GDK) program. This program is implemented to raise the participation of customers and communities to voluntarily donate their own quota for improving the quality of education of schools in various parts of Indonesia.

"The program is implemented because XL Axiata view digital technologies increasingly affect the daily life of the community. Therefore, fast internet should be immediately used to find solutions to various social problems and improve the quality of life of the wider community up to various parts of the region," said Yessie D. Yosetya, Director / Chief Service Management EXCL, in Sabang, Naggroe Aceh Darussalam, 29/08/2017).

In addition to the XL, the Quota Donation Movement (GDK) program launched directly from SMA Negeri 1 Kota Sabang, Pulau Weh, Naggroe Aceh Darussalam was also attended by Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, MAP, Minister of Education and Culture, and Zulkifli H. Adam, Mayor of Sabang.

The launch of the GDK program was also witnessed from Jakarta by Rudiantara, Minister of Communications and Informatics, and Dian Siswarini, President Director / CEO of EXCL through video conferencing facility using 4G LTE network XL Axiata.

In his speech, Dian Siswarini, President Director / CEO of EXCL, said that the company, through the program launched in August 2017, invites XL Axiata community and customers to actively participate in promoting the quality of education of Indonesian children in various regions, including regions leading category, lagging and farthest.

Dian said, this program is XL Axiata innovation to add value to the benefits of telecommunication services and data for the people of Indonesia, along with the rapidly expanding fast 4G LTE internet network that we continue to build up to various parts of Indonesia.

"Through this Quota Donation Movement program, internet and data access quota donations from customers and communities will enable our children in these areas to get better quality education and become a means to prepare them for the digital era " Said Dian.

Meanwhile, Muhajir Effendy, Minister of Education and Culture of Indonesia, explains, fast internet access is now one of the vital means of government to improve and level the quality of education to various corners of this vast archipelago.

We are confident that the equitable development to all corners of the country will improve the quality of life of Indonesians, which will ultimately contribute to improving the resilience of the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," said Muhajir.
