INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) announced, starting Friday (08/09/2017) at 00.00 pm applies the one-tariff system in Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi Toll Road (Jagorawi) Category I Rp6.500.

"It is in accordance with the Ministerial Decree of PUPR No. 692 / KPTS / M / 2017 on Tariff Fee and Transaction Change of Toll Road Transaction System at Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi Toll Road (Jagorawi) dated 31 August 2017," said Head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Herry Trisaputra Zuna in Jakarta, Thursday (7/9/2017)

The decree contains a change of open and closed system of Jagorawi Toll into an open system only so that the toll users from the direction of Jakarta to Ciawi or from the other direction pay only one time with the same tariff either near or far distance.

Toll users to Jakarta will pay at the entrance toll (on ramp) and which towards Bogor payment is done at the exit toll (off ramp). Thus, on the two toll gates (GT) in the toll road, namely GT Cibubur and GT Cimanggis Utama no more transactions.

Herry also mentioned to anticipate the congestion at the entrance and exit toll will be done the addition of substation that is on GT Cimanggis 3 as many as five substations, GT Gunung Putri two substations, GT Bogor eight substations and GT Ciawi eight substations.

"The tariff is the same, which is Rp6,500 for Class I vehicles. With the new tariff, for long distance users the tariff decreases, while the tariff is close to the tariff," said Herry.

The tariffs imposed class II to Rp9.500, class III to Rp13.000, class IV to Rp16.000 and class V to Rp19.500.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Jasa Marga Desi Arryani separately explained the reduction of toll gate to reduce congestion of vehicle queue as done on Jakarta-Tangerang toll road.

"As we do in the Jakarta-Tangerang and Tangerang-Merak segment, it is expected that this can reduce congestion in GT Cibubur Utama and GT Cimanggis which has been long tail," said Desi.

He hopes that after the change of the transaction system, Jagorawi Toll Road will be degraded because the density nodes in GT Cimanggis Utama and GT Cibubur Utama are eliminated so that traffic is distributed at some point.
