INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Siber Indonesia Media Union (SMSI) has enlisted as a candidate for the Press Council constituents.
In the process of filing on Friday afternoon (8/9), SMSI Chairman Teguh Santosa handed over a bundle of documents containing, among other things, AD / ART, SMSI board composition at national level and 26 provinces, as well as form requirements for SMSI member candidates.
Also submitted documents 265 mass media companies based on internet members of SMSI that have been recorded and verified in 17 provinces.
Teguh Santosa was accompanied by Secretary General of SMSI Firdaus Ansueto and other central SMSI leadership elements and SMSI regional leadership. SMSI consultants Rizal Ramli, Atal S. Depari and Mirza Zulhadi also attended the registration.
SMSI troupe is received by Deputy Chairman of the Press Council Ahmad Jauhar and Vice Chairman of Press Council Data Collection Hendri Ch. Get up.
"According to Chairman of the Press Council Yosep Adi Prasetyo at the SMSI National Working Meeting in Surabaya last July, the minimum requirement for registration of new media company organizations to the Press Council is minimal in 15 provinces and at least 200 media companies. Alhamdulillah, today we bring more than required," said Teguh.
After submitting all documents, Teguh said that the work of SMSI is far from over.
After registration, SMSI officers at the central or provincial level are requested to continue to perform member data collection and verification.
"Our job is far from over. SMSI still has the debt to form a board in 7 provinces. Then, administrators in nine provinces must complete data collection and verification. So also with the 17 provincial administrators who are today registered must continue to work to record and verify members and prospective members," said Teguh in the meeting held after registration.
This work, called Teguh will be evaluated again in November.
"At the end of November, we send another document of online media company of new SMSI members. This progress is important to show that SMSI is a serious and trustworthy organization," Teguh said.
The technical evaluation of the submission of administrative documents for SMSI member verification will be discussed in the SMSI Leadership Meeting to be held in Bangka Belitung Province in mid November.
In the Press Council's note today there are no less than 43 thousand internet-based mass media operating in all parts of Indonesia. Most are not professionally managed and do not respect the ethics and laws of journalism.
On various occasions, Teguh Santosa said that SMSI is responsible to create a healthy press life and help online media companies become professional companies with good quality journalism.
