INDUSTRY.co.id - Nusa Dua - Tourism actors in Bali approach to domestic and foreign tourists to socialize mitigation by the government following increased volcanic activity of Gunung Agung.

"Socialization needs to be done so that they also get information so that there is no panic," said Chairman of the Association of General Manager Hotel Indonesia (IHGMA) Bali Nyoman Astama while attending the International Conference of Hotel Managers in Nusa Dua, Badung regency, Wednesday (20/09/2017 )

According to Astama, intensive communication is also conducted with customers from foreign travel agents including foreign tourists who will go to Bali that tourism is still running as usual even though the volcanic status of the highest mountain on the island is at a standby level.

He explained the alert level of Gunung Agung did not make tourists especially abroad cancel or reschedule their arrival in Bali.

In line with Astama, Chairman of Bali Hotel Association (BHA) Ricky Putra met Antara in a separate occasion said until now there has been no cancellation or delay visit to the Island of the Gods.

As well as foreign tourists who already exist in Bali, Ricky added no one shorten their stay.

"They know and care that in Bali is trying to realize the safety to the community related to the improvement of the status of Mount Agung," he said.

According to Ricky, the delivery of detailed and open information to foreign tourists is one of the anticipatory steps so that they also understand the unpredictable nature situation.

This is also done so that tourists are spared with less obvious issues or "hoax" news related to increased activity in the sacred mountain of Hindus.
