Investment Task Force Stops Fundraising Activities

Chairman of the Task Force on InvestmentTongam L. "In the framework of the protection of consumers and the public, since September 19, 2017, the Task Force Investments has suspended the fund raising activities of five entities," he said over the weekend in Jakarta.

Here are the five investment firms discontinued by the Task Force: Koperasi Karya Putra Alam Semesta / Invesment Management Consortium (Gunung Putri Bogor), Smart Banking Exchange / PT Solarcity Kapital Indonesia (Jakarta), PT Istana Bintang Universal (Jakarta), PT Papan Agung Solution (Sidoarjo East Java), PT Global Ventura Pratama / Gold Indo Financial / GIF Financial (Pekanbaru Riau).

The Investment Alert Task Force has summoned the five entities to explain the legality and business activities. From the call, Koperasi Karya Putra Alam Semesta / Invesment Management Consortium, Smart Banking Exchance / PT Solarcity Kapital Indonesia, and PT Istana Bintang Universal attended the meeting. As for PT Papan Agung Solution and PT Global Ventura Pratama not present.

Koperasi Karya Putra Alam Universe / Invesment Management Consortium has declared stopping its activities using the debt repayment scheme of customers by paying only 60% of the amount of debt owned. This is done, because the activity is not in accordance with the activities cooperatives.

Meanwhile, the Investment Management Consortium, suspended investment activities in the form of offering a rescue program and completion of refund member of PT Compact Sejahtera Group / Compact500 / ILC which offers 25% return on invested capital.

Smart Banking Exchange / PT Solarcity Kapital Indonesia must discontinue business activities in the form of an offering of Solar Bond International shares investment activity with yields of 30% - 42% per month. The Investment Alert Task Force stated that the use of OJK logo by Smart Banking Exchange / PT Solarcity Kapital Indonesia is done without permission.

PT Istana Bintang Universal stops all direct selling activities of multi level marketing (MLM) and does not recruit MLM members because they do not have permission in accordance with the provisions of applicable legislation.

PT Papan Agung Solution shall discontinue business activities offering interest-free housing programs and penalties for unlawful activities and allegedly violating statutory provisions and harming the public.

PT Global Ventura Pratama must discontinue offering of investment activities with a yield of 20% per 14 days because it is not equipped with a business license and allegedly violates statutory provisions and potentially harm the public.

"Since January - September 2017, Task Force Investment has stopped the business activities of 48 entities. From the suspension of the activity, there is one entity that has obtained business license namely PT Pansaky Berdikari Bersama / 4Jovem. Based on its business license, its business activities are direct selling for "Jovem Glueberry and Green Shake products," he said.
