INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - In the midst of the viral #KaburAjaDulu hashtag as a symbol of the young generation's disappointment with domestic working conditions, Binawan responded with real action: dispatching Indonesian nurses to Austria through the International Nurse Development Program Scholarship, a collaboration between Binawan University and universities in Austria.
Binawan University held a graduation ceremony for 55 healthcare professionals who were selected to join the Binawan Europe program, an international career development scholarship in Austria.
The event was attended by the Minister of Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrants (P2MI), Abdul Kadir Karding as a form of government support for expanding access to professional work abroad. In addition, CEO of Binawan Group and Chairman of Binawan Foundation, Said Saleh Alwaini, also attended the event.
In his speech, Abdul Kadir Karding, expressed his gratitude to Binawan University for its dedication that continues to encourage the creation of quality jobs and the development of well-skilled Indonesian humans.
“I hope other universities or other educational institutions can emulate this model. Binawan, I think is one of the models of Indonesian migrant worker placement companies that is good enough and we can make it a role model for all P3MIs in Indonesia,” said the Minister of P2MI.
On this occasion, the CEO of Binawan Group who is also the Chairman of Binawan Foundation, Said Saleh Alwaini, said that this scholarship program is part of Binawan Foundation's efforts to continuously improve the quality of education and expand cooperation networks with leading institutions in various countries.
Said added, “We realize that in this era of globalization, having an international network and cross-cultural experience is a very valuable asset. Therefore, we will continue to seek cooperation with various parties at the international level to provide wider opportunities for Binawan University students and graduates. The success of this program is the result of good synergy and collaboration between various parties.”
The International Nurse Development Program Scholarship is a collaborative program between Binawan University and an Austrian university that includes German language training, cultural adaptation guidance, and competency training according to European health standards. Participants are intensively prepared to work in hospitals and health facilities in Austria that lack trained medical personnel.
Binawan is the first institution in Indonesia to open a scholarship plus structured overseas work placement for the nursing profession. This step directly responds to the challenge of the increasing surplus of nursing graduates in Indonesia.
Through the Binawan Europe Program supported by the government and global partners, #KaburAjaDulu is legally a real step towards an international career in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Binawan Foundation opens training scholarship opportunities for nurses across Indonesia, with the registration and selection process lasting until June 2025.
