Public Majority Satisfied with President Jokowi Performance

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The survey result of Indicator Institution to 1,220 respondents stated that the majority of the public are satisfied with the performance of Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla's three-year government.
"From the performance of Mr. Jokowi, the respondents stated that they are very satisfied as much as 7.95 percent, stated satisfied 60.39 percent, 27.23 percent unsatisfied, not satisfied at all 2.26 percent and those who did not answer 2.17 percent" said Executive Director Indicator Burhanuddin Muhtadi in the presentation of the survey results in Jakarta on Wednesday (11/102017)
The survey was conducted on 1,220 respondents aged 17 years or married in 34 provinces, on 17-24 September 2017, through face-to-face interviews with multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of 2.9 percent, and a confidence level of 95 percent.
Burhanuddin said the trend of public satisfaction on Jokowi's performance had dropped in June 2015 but again rose in January 2016, and began to stabilize in March 2016 until now.
According to him, in general the level of public satisfaction is not always only influenced performance, but can also be influenced by ideological identity and so forth.
In addition, the level of satisfaction does not necessarily reflect the public's choice of the leader.
"To get to choose that, besides performance also influenced factor of heart, factor of political party and so on.This is to be understood," he said.
Nevertheless, he said, based on the survey of the majority of the public who are satisfied with the performance of Jokowi one of them due to the massive infrastructure development carried out by the government.
This is in line with public confidence that President Jokowi can lead Indonesia to be better.
"72.6 percent are convinced, 22.6 percent feel unconvinced and 4.8 percent say they do not know," Burhanuddin said.
He called satisfaction over the performance of Jokowi as President experiencing considerable fluctuations. He thinks this is an important psycho-political capital.
"This is an important psycho-political capital as political support for national leadership, despite the many problems facing this nation," Burhanuddin explained.
