The Rupiah Exchange Rate Today Moves to Range 13,546-13,326

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar (US) on Wednesday trading (25/10/2017) is expected to move in the range of Rp13.546-13.326 per dollar. That happened after the rupiah in yesterday's trade strengthened to the level of Rp13.529 per dollar.

"The rupiah exchange rate today is likely to weaken slightly and test the support level of Rp13.546 per dollar," said Reza Priyambada, an analyst at PT Binaartha Sekuritas, in Jakarta, Wednesday (25/10/2017).

Reza argued, the strengthening of the rupiah exchange rate yesterday just happened for a moment and must be re-tested to find out its continuation. Therefore, positive sentiment from the domestic market is expected to support the rupiah to remain appreciated.

However, Reza hopes that the weakening rupiah exchange rate that occurs today can be more limited so that market participants remain wary of sentiment that can re-hold the potential strengthening of the rupiah exchange rate. (Abraham Sihombing)
