INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Angkasa Pura Limited Company (AP) II inaugurated an online taxi service "online" at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in collaboration with Mains of Police Cooperatives (Inkoppol) and Grab as provider of online reservation platform.
The existence of a booth for 'online' taxis is in an effort to enlarge the portion of accessibility to and from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, said VP of Corporate Communications of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Yado Yarismano in a press release received in Jakarta on Tuesday 24 / 10/2017)
According to him, AP II as airport manager must prepare a special solution to curb the taxi online which during its existence has not been officially as a provider of public transportation services at the airport.
The facilities provided in the form of "booth" are available throughout Terminal 1, either A, B, or C. Meanwhile, in Terminal 2 available on D and F.
Yado said that the previous transportation was a conventional taxi fleet, buses (Damri, Primajasa, Agramas), and JAConnection buses only accommodate about 30 percent of the 150,000 total passenger planes requiring public transportation at the airport.
When coupled with airport train operations, total public transportation can accommodate up to 45 percent of passengers in need of public transportation, so there are still 55 percent of passengers who have to use private vehicles, he said.
He is also absorbed by the choice of an online taxi in the future will reduce the use of private vehicles to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
The Soekarno-Hatta Airport was chosen as the first to accommodate the official "online" taxi service in cooperation with Inkoppol as it represented 60 percent of the total passengers from other AP II airports.
Thus, it is declared appropriate if the "pilot project" is undertaken in Soekarno-Hatta and is expected to be implemented later at other airports.
Even now, online taxis that are allowed to carry passengers at the airport are still limited, those who have become cooperative members of Inkoppol as license holders of the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ).
The online taxi fleet must also be specially designated by Soekarno-Hatta Airport and have been tested for service or KIR test.
The currently registered fleet of approximately 60 units of the capacity of 500 units of "online" taxi which will operate in Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
"We fully hand over to Inkoppol regarding business cooperation with their online 'taxi platform'," Yado Yarismano said.
Limited Liability Company (PT) Angkasa Pura II does not close the opportunity to cooperate with other transportation service providers who also offer online taxi reservation platform "online"
