Increase Foreign Tourist Visits, Garuda Extends Cooperation with Tourism Australia

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Following successful collaboration in 2016, Garuda Indonesia national airline, again extending cooperation with Tourism Australia.

The partnership resulted in increasing Garuda Indonesia's passengers in the Australian market region to 521,142 passengers in the period from September 2016 to June 2017.

Through the extension of this partnership, Garuda Indonesia and Tourism Australia have consistently agreed to continue to work together in promoting Garuda Indonesia flight services to and from various destinations in Australia such as Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

While for the year 2017, the period of cooperation between Garuda Indonesia and Tourism Australia will run from November 2017 until June 2018.

Director of Marketing and Information Technology of Garuda Indonesia, Nina Sulistyowati hopes that through this synergy can continue to optimize the passenger's passenger level, especially in new market segment which has promising market potential ahead.

"In addition, this cooperation can also provide added value for service users of Garuda Indonesia by offering" Kangaroo Road "which is Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, which is one of the potential markets for Garuda Indonesia," she said, through a press release received by Industry .co.uk, Friday (3/11/2017).

With the Kangaroo Road route, Garuda Indonesia also offers convenient connections for all service users departing from Australia and wants to continue flights to other Garuda Indonesia routes, Nina added.

Meanwhile, Regional General Manager of South and South East Asia Tourism Australia, Brent Anderson said, The number of tourists from Indonesia to Australia grew 17 percent this year and this will not happen without the strong cooperation between Garuda Indonesia and Tourism Australia.

"We are delighted to work together again with Garuda Indonesia, one of the world's top five airlines, to re-share what Australia has to offer to tourists, ranging from the natural beauty and flora and fauna life of Perth, the iconic buildings in Sydney, to the city's unique urban design Melbourne, "she concluded.
