Trimegah Sekuritas Supports Ikatan Alumni SBM-ITB to Realise Lifelong Learning Mission

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - In order to realise its mission of “Educate and create wealth for community through unique and professional investment experience”, PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (TRIM) collaborates with the Ikatan Alumni Sekolah Bisnis dan Manajemen Institut Teknologi Bandung (IA SBM-ITB). This strategic collaboration also supports one of the missions of IA SBM-ITB which is to realise lifelong learning.

 

The cooperation kick off event held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, was attended by Philmon Tanuri and David Agus as the President Director and the Director of TRIM, respectively, as well as Novrizal Pratama and Wildan Kesuma as the Chairman and the Secretary General of IA SBM-ITB.

 

“The main point of this cooperation is capital market education and literacy for IA SBM-ITB members. In this cooperation, Trimegah will also support various other activities carried out by IA SMB-ITB to have a positive impact on members, alma mater and society at large. This reinforces Trimegah's commitment to improve capital market education and literacy for the people of Indonesia, for all groups,’ said Philmon Tanuri in his official statement on Wednesday (05/06/2024) in Jakarta.

 

According to data of the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI), the number of capital market investors in December 2023 reached 12.17 million, increased by 18.01% compared to 10.31 million in 2022. Although the number of investors has increased, the level of literacy and inclusion in the capital market is still relatively low. Based on the National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion in 2022 published by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the level of financial literacy in the capital market had only reached 4.11%, and the level of financial inclusion in the capital market was 5.19%.

 

Therefore, collaboration initiatives between business players in the financial sector are very important.Through a structured and sustainable capital market education and literacy programme, it is hoped that more people will be able to understand and take advantage of investment opportunities in the capital market, so that the contribution of this sector to the national economy can continue to be increased.

 

This investment literacy and education activity is also carried out to support the planned launch of Trimegah Bakti Ganesha Abadi endowment mutual fund products that will provide positive benefits for the education process at the ITB almamater.
