INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) said it will continue to employ 98% of Total E & P Indonesia (TEPI) employees while working on the Mahakam block early next year.
This state-owned oil and gas company from 1 January 2018 officially went on to become the new ruler of the Mahakam Block from TEPI. "So 98% of workers will directly join Pertamina," Bambang explained in Jakarta, Thursday (9/11/2017).
According to Bambang, currently the transition process of worker's status is almost complete. He believes Indonesia's human resources are able to carry out the mandate to maintain Indonesia's energy security.
Bambang asserted, 98% of employees TEPI is an Indonesian citizen (WNI). "Once taken over Pertamina, their sense of nationalism will be more viscous, because they helped maintain the energy security of the nation," said Bambang.
Bambang said, the transfer of employees is not 100% because the rest have entered retirement and personal reasons.
