INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) will build a simple house worth Rp123 million, targeting low-income people (MBR) in East Java.
"We will distribute mortgages for 2002 housing units in Jember, Lumajang and Bondowoso areas involving more than 20 developers with more than 20 hectares of land," said President Director Maryono in an official statement on Wednesday (15/11/2017).
Maryono said, the period of construction and distribution of BTN KPR in some areas will take place from January to August 2018.
"Property development in Jember region will certainly increase local economic growth due to the large multiplier effect, ranging from building materials industry, handicraft and so on," continued Maryono.
During a working visit in East Java, Minister of SOE Rini Mariani Soemarno looked directly at the housing area of KPR Subsidi in Jember area whose credit was channeled by BTN. This area has been developed for approximately 8 years and inhabited by thousands of families who get subsidized KPR.
Rini also appreciated the role of SOEs in supporting the regional economy through BUMN programs for the State. Going forward, SOEs are expected to continue to provide direct support to the community, especially to encourage economic improvement and community welfare.
