INDUSTRY.co.id - Bangkok - During a working visit to Thailand last weekend, Minister of Industry (Menperin), Airlangga Hartarto visited the component factory and the Thai Auto Summit Group training center.

Thai Summit Group itself as a major component manufacturer for the automotive industry, agricultural machinery, electric appliance industry, and many more, including machinery used in production.

The automotive industry is Indonesia's mainstay industry. The automotive industry has a wide-ranging chain effect, which is to boost economic growth and create jobs.

"The automotive industry is also one of the key benchmarks in Indonesia's economic growth, as Indonesia's automotive production continues to increase, which proves people's purchasing power is still strong," he said.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry also continues to boost the competitiveness and productivity of industries that play a role in the development of the agricultural sector. This effort as the implementation of the program Nawa Cita President Joko Widodo.

"The agricultural sector needs support from the industrial sector in order to make farming activities more effective and efficient, so that agricultural activities can also be done more intensively with greater results so as to improve the welfare of farmers," said Menperin.

Therefore, the Ministry of Industry also has an interest to continue to encourage the development of Alsintan industry in the country. This is in line with President Joko Widodo's instruction to optimize job creation in the main areas of the village.
