INDUSTRY.co.id - Bengkulu - President Director of State Electricity Company (PLN) Sofyan Basir mentioned that many people who want to simplify the discourse of electricity tariff classification accelerated the implementation.
"It's a lot of people who have misunderstood, they do not understand, the people's response is very good, but many have requested that the implementation be accelerated, it is not socialized because we are still giving the discourse first," said Sofyan Basir after attending the Coordination Meeting of the Ministry of SOEs in Bengkulu on Wednesday (23/11 / 2017)
He said many parties have not understood. In fact, PLN offers increased power without charging at all. Currently PLN is still waiting for a response or a broader public response so that it can be studied more deeply.
In addition, he also stated that there is no increase in electricity tariffs related to the simplification plan of the non-subsidized household electricity subsidy group being discussed with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Sofyan Basir has said the government is trying to keep the public from charging for additional power in the simplification of the 900 VA without subsidies, 1,300 VA, 2,200 VA, and 3,300 VA. All of these classes will be raised and added power to 4,400 VA.
"There is no increase in tariffs and we will have a positive plan for the people who want to increase their power because they want to not pay," said Sofyan.
Sofyan explained that his party with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignatius Jonan is still preparing the calculation of the cost for the addition of electric power, including the component, namely the replacement of "Miniature Circuit Breaker" (MCB).
"We are again counting, excuse me with Pak Jonan, then there will be a regulation, hopefully it can be done," he said as quoted by Antara.
There is also a simplification only for customers with 900 VA without subsidies, 1,300 VA, 2,200 VA, and 3,300 VA. All of these classes will be raised and added power to 4,400 VA.
Meanwhile, the 4,400 VA to 12,600 VA classes are raised and powered up to 13,000 VA, and the 13,000 VA class on top of its power will be "loss stroom", i.e. there is no power limit so consumers can use as much electricity as needed.
Thus, the household electricity subscriber group will only consist of three classes, namely subsidized electric customers (450 VA and 900 VA subsidies); 4,400 VA non-subsidized electric subscribers and 13,000 VA; and nonsubsidized electric subscribers 13,000 VA up (loss stroom).
Sofyan added that the public does not have to worry if one day there is a power outage because it ensures enough PLN electricity capacity to serve the customer's electricity connection if the power has been upgraded. And the island of Java became the focus in carrying out these efforts, because the infrastructure is considered adequate.
