Minister of Industry Submits Assistance for Mount Agung Eruption Refugees

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto today handed over aid to refugees victims of the eruption of the majestic mountain, Bali.

The aid was handed over by Airlangga Hartarto on Wednesday (29/11/2018) morning at the office of the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta.

"This is an effort from the government especially the Ministry of Industry to provide assistance to the refugees of the great mountain eruption," said Airlangga.

On the occasion, the Minister of Industry handed over aid in the form of 100 bottles of mineral water, 100 roll mattress, 242 blankets, 250 towels, 16 sack clothes, 25 boxes of baby biscuits, 198 dus milk milk, 106 boxes of milk powder, instant noodles 70 boxes, as well as snacks of 1100 boxes, with the aim of sending the command post of eruption of mount Agung, Manggis Village, Ulakan, Karangasem, Bali.

Menperin hopes this aid can be useful and beneficial for our brothers who are being hit by the catastrophic eruption of the great mountain.

As is known, the activity of Mount Agung has continued to increase since last Saturday, where the mountain erupted, and spewed the material up to a height of 3,400 meters from the summit crater.

Currently there are 40 thousand refugees in 217 points that have been prepared by the government. The most displaced people in the area of ​​Karangasem, Bali.

Mount Agung is still issuing volcanic ash as high as 4000 meters above sea level. Due to the presence of tropical cyclones in southern Java, wind direction around Mount Agung is currently changing towards the South and Southwest.
