Sri Sultan HB X Gubernur Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (Foto Ist) - Kulon Progo - The Governor of Yogyakarta Special Region Sri Sultan HB X will conduct a clean movement of houses and the environment of pascabanjir and landslides in mutual assistance.

Sultan Hamengku Buwono X in Kulon Progo, Saturday (2/12/2017) said that the movement started from the home residents and the environment around their residence.

"Next week, we will conduct a clean house and environment, hopefully togetherness and spirit of mutual cooperation will be the spirit to clean house and environment," he said when reviewing the flood location in Panjatan Subdistrict, Kulon Progo Regency, Saturday.

He said that in every village, there are highly trained and skilled emergency response groups, already actively assisting displaced victims of natural disasters.

He expects the strength of the people of Yogyakarta is thick with togetherness and mutual cooperation, not only in the form of helping the refugees flood victims.

However, he said, also the spirit of kebersaaman in improving the homes of citizens damaged by natural disasters.

Sultan hoped that in clean house and environment next week, Yogyakarta people unite and shoulder to shoulder, and based on spirit of gotong royong to build Yogyakarata.

"We hope that flood victims and landslides will soon return home, toddlers and children are concerned, and food needs are met," he said.

Regent of Kulon Progo Hasto Wardoyo said at this time, personnel BPBD, Tagana, Quick Reaction Team, volunteers, TNI, and Police united to get rid of landslide material to help clean houses flooded homes.

"We work to help the people and clean up the landslide material to clean up the mud in the homes of residents whose homes have been flooded," he said. (Ant)
