PPKS Predicted Sales of 21 Million Palm Seeds

INDUSTRY.co.id - Medan- Management of Palm Oil Research Center or PPKS Medan predicts its seed sales until the end of 2017 can reach 21 million trees.
"Optimism refers to the realization of sales until October which has reached 16.1 million seeds," said Director of PPKS Medan, Hasril Hasan Siregar in Medan, Saturday (2/12/2017)
According to him, with the sale, PPKS also contributed greatly to the realization of the national palm oil seed sales which up to October amounted to 56.5 million.
As for the end of 2017, the national sales of palm seeds is predicted to be more than 80 million.
"The sales of seeds in 2017, especially towards the end of the year, is well recognized, driven by replanting either independently or using BPDPKS funds (Dana Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit) funds," said Hasril.
In the Antara note, in Muba Banyuasin, South Sumatra on October 13, for example, the initial sales of 600 PPKS seeds.
While in Serdangbedagai on 27 November, PPKS contributed 300 seedlings ready for planting.
"There is a prediction of sales in 2018 will be better. But it needs strong support from the government because in that year there has been a ripple of political year 2019," said Hasril.
