OJK Expected to Improve Socialization-Public Education

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Financial Services Authority is expected to increase the role of socialization and education to the public so as to optimize its role in anticipating illegal investment in the country.
"There needs to be an increase in socialization and educational activities in the community so that people will not be trapped in illegal or bulging investments," said a member of Commission XI DPR Sukiman in a release in Jakarta on Saturday (9/12/2017).
According Sukiman, at this time still minimal number of people who know OJK both from the institutional side and the main task and function so there needs to be more socialization-education.
In addition, he said, OJK is also expected to be able to manage its budget effectively, responsibly, and efficiently.
PAN politician said, related to the plan of building new building OJK, he support during the framework of the goal to improve the implementation of OJK work and services to the community.
Previously, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Financial Services Authority Wimboh Santoso promised to encourage the financial services industry to help the government in reducing poverty and inequality.
"The financial services sector needs to facilitate the needs of the state such as infrastructure development financing, and a solution to reduce poverty and inequality," said Wimboh Santoso through a press release in the 6th anniversary of OJK's celebration in Jakarta on Wednesday (22/11).
The policy, among others, OJK will continue to look at technological developments in services and products of the financial services sector. Wimboh claims OJK will crack down on technology development with the right policy.
In the midst of swift domestic and external economic pressures, Wimboh said OJK will maintain the stability and fundamentals of the financial services sector.
Wimboh also asks all OJK employees to continue to improve capacity, commitment, and cohesiveness in carrying out the mandated duties of the state.
