Nasik Island Residents Can Enjoy Electricity 24 Hours

INDUSTRY.co.id - Belitung, Community Expectation Nasik Island Strait, Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province to be able to enjoy non-stop electricity service for 24 hours finally materialized.
This condition after the addition of capacity of Diesel Power Plant (PLTD) Nasik Strait to about 1,800 kilo Watt (kW) from previously only 390 kW.
Welcoming the presence of this full service, Nasik Village Chief, Joni Arsah represented the island's people to express their gratitude to the Government and PT PLN (Persero), the residents can now enjoy electricity 24 hours non-stop.
"At first the electricity was on 6pm, it was at 6 am now it's been burning, people feel very grateful that electricity is 24 hours from Government program through Electricity Rural," Joni said through his written statement in Belitung last weekend.
Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN Bangka Belitung region, Susiana Mutia said, the increase in Nasik Storm Vessel capacity occurs after the addition of six generator generator.
"We are adding a generator capacity of 6 X 200 kW and we still have an old generator of 580 kW," he said.
He said, with the capacity, and then as many as 2116 customers can enjoy electricity without having to wait for the night to come. The additional capacity is accompanied by the support of other electrical infrastructure, including 18.720 kms of Medium Voltage Channels, Medium Voltage Cable Line (SKTM) along 0.1 kms, Low Voltage Air Channel (SUTR) 11,670 kms and 10 units of substations.
This 24-hour electricity service is expected to have an impact on people's productivity and help the economy move. "If the previous peak loads 160-180 kW, now 280-300 kW at night.While in the afternoon load was 150 kW," said Susi.
Furthermore, Susi hopes the remaining capacity of 800 kW can be utilized to attract investors to build cold storage (fish cooler) as well as other economic activities, including tourism.
"It really expects the support of Mr. Regent and his staff," added Susi.
