OJK Encourages Task Force on Proactive-Babel Investment

INDUSTRY.co.id - Palembang - Financial Services Authority Regional Office 7 Southern Sumatera pushed the Alert Task Force Investments in South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung pro-actively educate and protect the public from the target of illegal investment offerings.

"Nowadays there are still many victims of illegal investment / investment. Find the facts, the Regional Investment Task Force in the region is encouraged to create programs that can improve people's understanding and intelligent in choosing the place to invest the money," said Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regional Office 7 Southern Sumatra Panca Hari Suryatno, in Palembang, Friday (22/12/2017)

In the event of sharing information to the media crew, Panca explained that the newly formed Task Force is expected in 2018 to have the right work program to provide maximum protection to the community from the investment target of the bodong.

Regional Investment Task Force in the region of South Sumatra was formed on October 28, 2017 while in Bangka Belitung the Task Force was formed on December 14, 2017.

The two Task Forces are consisting representatives from 9 local government agencies and ministries, are expected to move quickly in 2018 to create a work program that can increase public awareness and absorb information related to illegal investments.

Through the work program is expected to take precautions and narrow the space network company or financial services industry that seeks to commit fraud to the community by investing some money with the promise of a large profit-sharing, he said.

According to him, in the current economic conditions, people are easily tempted by the investment offer from a company that promises substantial profit returns within a certain period of time.

To avoid becoming a victim of fraudulent investment bulging, the community in the work area OJK Regional Office 7 Sumbagsel advised to be more careful if received offers invested in a company.

Before deciding to invest, the community is reminded to check the business field runs by a company or its operational permit, and can also ask OJK's officer through call center 021-1500665, he said. (Ant)
