INDUSTRY.co.id - Denpasar - PT Bank Mandiri Taspen Pos (Mantap) wants to pursue its target towards digitizing banking services in 2018. Director of Bank Mantap, Josephus K. Triprakoso said, one of the stages towards digitization is done for banking transactions via mobile phone or mobile banking.
"Banks are aware that customer behavior change from previously relying more on conventional transactions is now turning to digital services," said Josephus in Denpasar, Saturday (23/12/2017).
Jos said the parent company of Bank Mandiri previously had deposited capital of Rp119 billion and Taspen amounting to Rp81 billion to support the bank's performance, including encouraging digital infrastructure. The potential of customers from pension segmentation is also projected to be bigger so that the digital services become one of the priority targets of the banking system.
To introduce the service, the bank previously known as Bank Sinar Harapan Bali will create a more intensive approach strategy to customers with an informal atmosphere.
"The service is part of low cost networking, which is currently in the finalization stage to build a network with customers in an easy and relaxed manner," said Jos.
The trick, he added, by creating a space intersection that is designed as modern as in a cafe. With the digitalization and strategy approach with customers, Jos is optimistic, by 2018, to attract more customers.
Related to the performance, the bank headquartered in Jalan Melati Denpasar recorded significant asset growth which reached Rp13.2 trillion until November 2017, or up 105% compared to the same position the previous year.
"Bank Mantap realizes credit up to November 2017 of Rp10 trillion, up 123 percent compared to last year with the largest portion absorbed by pension segmentation close to almost Rp 8 trillion, the remaining micro credit amounting to Rp1 trillion more and retail Rp976 billion. " he continued.
In 2018, it targets the opening of new branches throughout Indonesia targeted by 50 offices from the current number of 186 branches spread across several cities in the country.
