President Jokowi Reminds KIP Utilized As Its Function

INDUSTRY.co.id - Kupang, - President of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reminded thousands of elementary, junior high school, and vocational school students in Kupang City to take advantage of Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) in accordance with its function.
"The funds in this KIP are to be used as function to buy uniforms, shoes, books, school bags," said President Jokowi during his visit to SMK Negeri 3 Kupang in Kupang, Monday (8/1/2017).
During the visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by the Minister of Education and Culture and the Governor of East Nusa Tenggara to symbolically hand over 1,148 KIPs for elementary, junior high school, and vocational high school students in Kupang.
Jokowi explained that in the KIP there are the amounts of education grants in accordance with the school level, among which Rp450.000 SD, SMP Rp750.000, and SMA / SMK Rp1.000.000 to help families who cannot afford to educate children.
The funds, he said, should be put to good use to meet the various needs of school supplies, such as stationery, bags, and school uniforms.
"Want to wear to buy uniforms, shoes, books, school bags, okay, as long as not to buy credit, not to buy credit," he said.
He reminded the use of KIP in accordance with its designation.
"I wish to be used properly and if found there are used KIP to buy credit then the card will be revoked," he said.
The President on the occasion also reminded the KIP beneficiary students in the provincial capital to continue to pursue the main task of learning at school, home, and the environment.
"My children should continue to study diligently, learning hours should be improved, because your main task is to learn," he said.
He said competition for human resources in the future will be more competitive at the global level so that diligent study is the key to facing these challenges.
"School children must learn diligently, must be able to master the field he studied so that we can produce generations that can compete with other countries," he said.
During his visit, the President also conducted question and answer with a number of students about the national insight and gave a gift of bikes and portable computers to a number of students.
