Here There Are 100 Villages from 10 Districts Soon Funded Village Fund

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo ensured village funding in 2018 amounting to Rp 60 trillion immediately disbursed gradually. In January, the government will spend 20 percent of the total village funds or about Rp 12 trillion.
Along with the disbursement of funds, Jokowi requested cash-for-work (cash-for-work) programs to be implemented especially cash for work programs in the field of infrastructure and fisheries.
National Development Planning Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro said the government will start distributing cash for work in 10 districts with 100 selected villages. The district elections are based on high levels of poverty and stunting (malnourished infants).
"We start in 10 districts with 100 villages, initially small but with areas that have high stunting," said Minister Bambang
The 10 cash for work districts are Central Lampung, Rokan Hulu, Cianjur, Brebes and Pemalang. In addition, the eastern region is addressed to Central Lombok, Ketapang, Gorontalo and Central Maluku districts. As for Papua Province, allocated to Wanijaya Regency.
Minister Bambang said the distribution of cash for work is to build community independence in utilizing village funds. In addition, the absorption of labor will also be greater because the village funds will be used to build infrastructure in the village.
"In essence we are trying to build independence, indication of project success on time, according to classification and most importantly reduce poverty and unemployment, not only involving village fund but also APBN project located in village and also project area through APBN," he said.
