INDUSTRY co.id - Corruption crimes are currently increasingly sophisticated and complex, involving the latest technology and even across countries and multijurisdictions.
Therefore, efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption are needed that are more massive, systemic, and utilize the latest technology.
This was conveyed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the peak of the 2023 World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia), which was held at Istora Senayan, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/12/2023).
"We need a more systemic joint effort, we need a more massive joint effort, which utilizes the latest technology to prevent criminal acts of corruption. "We need to strengthen the prevention system, including improving the quality of human resources [human resources] for our law enforcement officers, goods and services procurement systems, licensing systems, internal monitoring systems, and so on," said the President.
The President revealed that as part of efforts to prevent corruption, the government has digitized various services, such as the E-catalog for procurement of goods and services and the licensing system through Online Single Submission (OSS) .
&ldquo [When] I first entered, in the E-catalog there were only 50 thousand items included. Now, this morning I asked for a report from the Head of LKPP, that 7.5 million items have been included in the e-catalog. "This leap is very fast," he said.
Apart from that, the President continued, there is also a Regional Government Information System (SIPD), a National Logistics System (Sislognas), and a Ministry/Agency Mineral and Coal Information System (Simbara).
“Simbara is for coal, and then later it will go into nickel, into bauxite, into copper. "I think this will also allow us to control how much of our natural resources have actually been exploited and then exported and so on," said the President.
Apart from that, the President added, the government is also preparing a one map policy which has now reached 60-70 percent and is targeted for completion in 2024.
&ldquo This will help a lot to protect people from corruption. Online  tax , I think is also very good. Then electronic certificates are also good. "Everything is made into a good platform application in order to guard against corruption," he stressed. (DND/UN)
