INDUSTRY.co.id - West Lombok – Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Limited Company considers the decrease of construction credit interest rates for developers who build subsidized housing to ease consumers from low-income communities.
"It will be lowered this year, previously 12 percent, will be below 10 percent but slowly," said President Director of BTN Maryono when reviewing the location of subsidized housing development by PT Lombok Royal Property in Ranjok Village, West Lombok regency, Tuesday (9 / 1/2017)
A 10 percent mortgage rate (KPR) of commercial property, he said, has also been applied, while subsidized KPR interest remains at 5 percent with an advance of 1 percent of the sale value.
"The mortgage interest rate is one-digit and already relatively low-income people make the most of it," he said.
BTN also gives attention to low income communities from private sector whose income is not fixed. The focus is on providing subsidized and non-subsidized KPR microfinance.
Products with relatively affordable interest can be used to get financing to build a new home or renovate.
"To be able to get micro KPR, prospective customers need to save first for 6 months. Later we collect weekly, biweekly or monthly," said Maryono.
